by | Feb 17, 2017

The tables below contain the quality flags based on dissolved oxygen data evaluations, beginning with the most recent.  Refer to the QA/QC general information page for information on the different quality levels.

SATURN-10:   0.75m & 14m

Quality Flag start time end time comment
QL2 8/28/16 10/19/16 8/28/16 – 10/19/16:  The sensor measuring dissolved oxygen at SATURN-10 (0.75m & 14m) was checked in 100% aerated DI prior to and following deployment.  The pre-deployment check found the sensor to be reading only slightly outside of manufacturer specifications (96.12% in 100% aerated DI) while the post-deployment check read 98.6% in 100% aerated DI.  No correction has been applied to the data.

SATURN-10:   17m

Quality Flag start time end time comment
QL3 9/16/16 12/17/16 9/16/16 – 12/17/16:  The DO sensor deployed at SATURN-10 (17m) was checked prior to deployment and was found to be reading slightly low (94.72% in 100% aerated DI).  The post-recovery check found that the senor had drifted/fouled significantly (reading 87% in 100% aerated DI).  A correction for drift between 5.3% and 13% offsets over the course of the deployment was applied to the data.  This correction is approximate, based on the assumption of linear drift and does not address any potential attenuation of the signal.  The data have been flagged as QL3.
